Michelle Stimpson, Owner

Michelle brings many years of decorating and business experience to the Triad area and has completed projects from the mountains to the coast of NC, Hilton Head, SC and Georgia.  She has had a love of decorating since a very young age and was most excited about decorating her apartment than studying when moving off to college years ago.  She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University and served as Chief Estimator and Project Manager for 20 years working for her father, continuing to design on the side.  Focal Point Designs was formed in 2009 and has evolved in to an amazing firm, producing countless, incredible projects and life-long customers.

Michelle is a Certified Redesign Industry Specialist, Certified Staging Specialist and is a proud member of WCAA (Window Coverings Association of America). She participates in numerous Winston-Salem Home Builders Association events, alongside her husband, Aubrey and serves as an Advisory Board member for First National Bank.  Michelle enjoys hosting events & serving in her church – decorating of course! and most importantly, she & Aubrey have two wonderful and creative daughters who are starting careers and families of their own.

Michelle thrives to bring clients exquisite designs, by selecting colorful and interesting fabrics as an inspirational starting point for the room.  She eagerly accepts the challenge of the making rooms flow wonderfully throughout the home and is thrilled to have the awesome opportunity to collaborate with Karl Stimpson Builders on projects from conception to completion.  Most of all, she is grateful for the lifelong friendships she has formed, each time she gets the opportunity to help our clients achieve the home of their dreams.
